Wrecks the Caribbean

One of the best sites for wreck diving in the Caribbean is the wreckage of the C / O Charlie Brown on the island of Statia (St. Eustatius). Statia is only 10 minutes by air travel Saba. I really like to vacation on Saba. Is far from the cliff population than Bloody Bay Wall on the Cayman Islands or Cozumel Palancar Reef.

In its hay days, the C / O Charlie Brown spent nearly 50 years to lay fiber optic cables throughout the world. It was built in 1950 and 327 meters long with a beam of about 41.4feet.

The wreck of the Charlie Brown lies in 98 feet of water lying quietly on the side. This wreck offers experienced divers, wreck divers and underwater photographers the opportunity of a lifetime to see everything from sea turtles to the sea slugs outside the wreckage.

For those of us who are more advanced, exploring the lonely corridor along the center of the wreckage is breathtaking. This corridor is wide open and manages about 120 meters inside the wreckage. OnceInside, you should visit the cable tanks and kitchen or move all the way to explore the reel room.

Unlike most wrecks Charlie Brown was deliberately sunk to form an artificial reef. But it was not fully recovered before the wreck. This now provides a look and feel of a real shipwreck.
Now, a little "how to get to Saba to start that dream vacation, Saba is called the Netherlands Antilles. The best way is to book your flights to the island of St. Maarten. ( SXM).Once you are in St. Martin have two choices on how to get to Saba
Take flight Winair Saba
Take the ferry from 2 hours of Sheba.

Everything is really close. Saba is only 5 square kilometers, while Statia is 8 square kilometers. You can reach dive sites within 15 minutes. Saba is a volcanic island with spectacular lava tubes underwater. The best way to really explore these islands is to start Dutch state for a couple of days then move to Saba and Saint-endMaarten. St. Maartin has a great rain forest and it makes a great day to decompress after each dive.
